Our Story

Reddy Electric Company is a merit shop electrical contractor that takes pride in its quality workmanship. We handle an average annual volume of $17 million in contract sales and $3 million in service work. We employ approximately 100 field electricians who are trained in commercial, industrial, high voltage, low voltage, and data/com wiring. We offer Design/ Build services to our commercial and industrial customers. Our Service Department is on call 24 hours a day to respond to your emergency needs.

History
In 1966, Robert J. LaFreniere, an electrical engineer, followed his dream and opened Reddy Electric. At first the company specialized in electric baseboard heat and insulation. By the end of the 1970s it found itself a leader in residential wiring completing over 800 houses annually.

In the early 1980s, “Bob” shifted his focus to commercial construction and quickly made his mark in this market. With prudent leadership, loyal employees and a buoyant economy, Reddy Electric grew throughout the 1980s and early 1990s to become a large regional player in the Ohio electrical contracting and service market.

In 1995, Mr. LaFreniere retired and handed over company leadership and ownership to his son Robert L. LaFreniere and devoted employees, Jeffrey A. Eldridge and Stephen R. Stanek. Together these three men have continued to follow the early principles of the company and have grown the company to an annual sales volume in excess of $20 million.

In 2018, Stephen R. Stanek retired after 38.5 years of service.

Robert L. LaFreniere and Jeffrey A. Eldridge over the past 10 years we have diversified and re-balanced of the company. We have increased our abilities in technologies which has allowed us to be of more service to customers and clients. The company has maintained an average annual sales volume in excess of $20 million.

Today Reddy Electric, operating as a merit shop contractor, offers our wide range of services as we continue focus on providing good service and quality workmanship with a reputation we are proud of in the industry.
