Scope Of Work

Arete was tasked with testing the feasibility of renovating 60 Codman Hill Road, formerly occupied by Interactive Data. An existing 2 story, 101,000+ square foot, type II construction, business use group facility, originally built in 1985.

60 Codman was a cornerstone for Interactive Data, an American 1960s-founded Time-sharing services company that later became known for providing financial market data and analysis to banks, securities firms, money managers, mutual funds around the world and also backing up the US stock exchange.

Since they vacated the premise the building has remained vacant.

New ownership collaborated with Arete for over 15 months to determine the highest and best use including completely razing the property. Ultimately deciding to significantly renovate the property.

Arete will lead full design phase and construction phase services in order to re-purpose the former Interactive Data center for a new end user. Over 29,000 square feet of slab on deck will be demolished with improvements to the structural steel to maintain lateral and wind loads for a moderate to high bay clear flex office/warehouse space. Additional scope includes modifications to the existing process heating and cooling system, electrical power distribution, lighting, fire protection, fire alarm, & finishes.
