Charlie Chambers, Willow Creek’s vice president of construction, is a results-oriented, driven professional with over 20 years of experience in all facets of the construction industry.

With his proven track record managing multimillion-dollar projects, Charlie attributes his success to his ability to maintain project costs, manage the coordination of trades, and develop beneficial partnerships with architects, engineers, local officials, vendors and clients.

As a Virginia Tech graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Building Construction and Civil Engineering, Charlie is well-versed in all phases of the construction process, including design problems, ground-up development and new construction, upgrades and renovations, document preparation, building codes and regulations, material purchasing, customer service, and site management and development, from concept to certificate of occupancy.

An established leader in new construction and renovation project management, Construction Manager Ed Ritenour has a long history of success in the construction industry.

That success has been honed by his work on many different types of construction, including commercial, senior living, multifamily, hospitality, and custom residential. During his career, Ed also has extensive experience with FHA, ADA and Fair Housing problem solving.

With his well-rounded background and OSHA 30 certification, Ed has the skills and experience to successfully manage a wide range of construction projects.

Director of Construction Elliott Salser oversees Willow Creek Construction’s daily operations. In his role, he’s successfully executed value-add renovations of numerous apartment complexes throughout Virginia and the Carolinas.

As a NASCLA-certified contractor with experience working in multiple municipalities throughout the Southeast, Elliott is experienced at managing all aspects of construction projects, from estimating through project closeout.

Elliott graduated from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Building Construction before taking on several management roles in the construction industry. Prior to joining Willow Creek Construction, Elliott’s experience ranged from multimillion-dollar ground-up heavy civil and commercial projects to founding a boutique construction business focused on historic restorations and real estate investment projects. He also provided independent consulting services to international construction firms.

With over 33 years in multifamily construction, Construction Manager Steve Kurtz brings a wealth of experience to Willow Creek’s interior and exterior capital projects.

Prior to joining Willow Creek Construction, Steve served as the project manager of renovations before moving into the role of regional maintenance manager with his previous company of 19 years. While there, he managed numerous large-scale projects in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia.

Today, Steve’s known and respected in the construction industry for his unique ability to develop excellent working relationships with project stakeholders, including owners, clients, engineers, local officials, subcontractors and vendors.
