Derek Martin's Bio
Born and raised in Nashville, Derekjoined American Constructors in
early 2005.
Shortly thereafter he was recalled by the Army to
serve a year as the forward liaison for
reconstruction efforts
in northern Iraq. After returning he worked on several school
projects, most notably for Williamson County Schools and Brentwood
Academy.
Although he now serves primarily in preconstruction and
executive oversight roles,
he still enjoys managing projects and
recently completed the new Bellevue
Community Center and Ice
Facility
Derek has a Bachelors in Engineering from Georgia Tech.
He is also a licensed
Professional Engineer in the State 0f
Tennessee. He and his wife Holly reside in
Nashville and enjoy
traveling, entertaining and live music.

Chad Crow's Bio
Since beginning work with American Constructors in 2007, Chad Crow has managed the successful completion of over $140 million dollars of construction in Middle Tennessee and South Carolina. Significant projects include the Schermerhorn Symphony Center Flood Remediation and Mitigation, First Presbyterian Church, National HealthCare – Bluffton, SC, National HealthCare – Franklin, TN, Belmont University’s McAfee Concert Hall and three new dormitories at University of the South. During the Flood Remediation and Mitigation of the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, Chad coordinated the reinstallation and repair of the Gala Spiral Lift Systems, Rigging and Variable Acoustic Systems and Seat Wagon Systems. He also helped in the redesign of the commercial kitchen, as well as coordinating specific material deliveries for all HVAC, Plumbing, Sprinkler, Electrical and Facility Management Systems. Chad and his wife Ashley reside in Bellevue, Tennessee, and have two sons, Nathan and Owen.
Elan Mengelberg's Bio
Elan began working for American Constructors as in intern in 2015 as he completed his Masters in Construction Management at Vanderbilt University. Hired full-time the following year, Elan has since been involved in preconstruction, permitting, and the oversight of a number of projects including the Westminster Presbyterian Church renovation and multiple small projects across Vanderbilt University’s campus. In 2020, Elan will be managing the construction of a new Freestanding Emergency Room in Antioch, and the complete gut and renovation of a multipurpose facility at Vanderbilt. Elan and his wife Kristen live in the Hermitage area and recently welcomed their newborn son, Jackson.
Joe Braden's Bio
Joe Braden is a Project Manager with American Constructors. Joe’s experience in the construction industry includes work as a Facility Engineer, Construction Manager Agent and Project Manager. Joe has a Bachelor of Engineering from Vanderbilt University. Since beginning his employment with American Constructors in 2004, Joe has managed the successful completion of over $187 million dollars of construction in the Middle Tennessee area. Significant projects include the Commons at Peabody Dormitories at Vanderbilt University ($87M), the recently completed APSU Student Housing ($37M), Sunset Elementary and Middle School, Coffee County Deerfield Elementary School, Hillsboro Elementary School, and Tullahoma High School Auditorium as well as numerous laboratory projects at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Joe is currently the project manager overseeing the $76.6 M addition and renovation to Hillsboro High School in Nashville. He and his wife Beth have four young children, Will, Olivia, Drew and Sam.

Marco Regoli's Bio
Marco began his career with American Constructors as an intern in 2015, assisting in the construction of the $36M addition and renovation at Martin Luther King, Jr. Magnet School. He has recently completed a $24M renovation of 577 HUD apartments at Trevecca Towers in Nashville, and is currently renovating 130 HUD apartments in Lewisburg.
Marco has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from University of Evansville and a M.E. in Civil Engineering from Vanderbilt University. He is currently pursuing his Professional Engineer’s license in the State of Tennessee. Marco and his fiancé Margaret reside in the Opry Mills area and enjoy pottery, traveling, and camping.
Zach Baldwin's Bio
Zach Baldwin began his career with American Constructors as an intern during construction of the $120 Million Schermerhorn Symphony Center. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering Technology from Murray State University in 2006, Zach was hired as a full time employee. Since beginning his tenure with American Constructors, Zach has been involved in the construction of six (6) K-12 schools totaling over $87 million, the Nelson Andrews Leadership Center for the YMCA of Middle Tennessee at Camp Widjiwagan, Goodlettsville Library, and Nolensville Town Hall. In the summer of 2015, Zach completed a fast-track, 92 day, 80,000 SF $6 Million dormitory renovation at Lipscomb University and and recently completed their new $9 million, 27,000 SF Fields Engineering Center. Zach recently completed a $36 million addition and renovation at Martin Luther King, Jr. Magnet School, as well as 2 community centers for Metro Nashville. Zach and his wife Meagan live in Nashville and have two sons, Henry and Jude.

Angel Choate's Bio
Angel serves as our Marketing Coordinator and Executive Assistant to President Derek Martin, as well as Administrative Assistant to other Project Managers. She is responsible for the coordination, production and preparation of responses to new work opportunities. This includes coordination of photographic shoots of completed projects, image reproduction and preparation of written marketing documents. She is also in charge of maintaining company employee resumes, preparation of all client contracts, and documents for corporate shareholder and quarterly Board of Directors’ meetings.
Angel is married to Brian and they have two children, Alexa and Laken.

Bill Thomasson's Bio
Bill has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, including work as a Field Supervisor, Mechanical Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent.
Bill graduated from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida and attended South Seminole Community College. In his years with American Constructors, Bill has been involved with the successful completion of over $174 million dollars of construction in Middle Tennessee and the southeastern United States. Significant projects include The Commons at Peabody at Vanderbilt University ($87M), Summit High School ($33M) and Randolph School in Huntsville, Alabama ($27M). He was an integral part of our team that completed the new Recreation and Wellness Center at Vanderbilt University ($27M). Bill recently converted an existing hospital to a Skilled Nursing Facility for National Healthcare Corporation, as well as the new NHC Maury Regional Medical Center facility in Columbia, Tennessee. He is currently working on the $83M addition and renovation to Hillsboro High School.
Bill and his wife Joanna have three children, Kayla, Annabelle and Hawkin.
Bradley Hall's Bio
Bradley Hall is a Project Superintendent with American Constructors. Bradly has many years of experience in the construction industry, including work as a laborer, carpenter helper, carpenter, foreman, field engineer, equipment operator, assistant superintendent and superintendent. Bradley graduated from DeKalb County High School in 1995.
In his years with American Constructors, Bradley has had a part in over $250 million dollars of construction in the Nashville and Middle Tennessee area. Starting as a field laborer in the summer of 1994, Bradley quickly developed the skills needed to succeed in the industry. Over the years he has become efficient in job oversight, scheduling of manpower, material, equipment and tool delivery and building layout. Significant projects include the Schermerhorn Symphony Center ($120M), the Country Music hall of Fame ($37M), Summit High School ($33M), Shelbyville Central High School ($25M), and Belmont University’s new Concert Hall ($10M).
Brad’s emphasis as an assistant superintendent at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center and the Country Music Hall of Fame was structural layout. Here Brad performed and supervised the structural layout of all walls, columns and beams as well as equipment and system layout coordination with other trades.
He has completed multiple projects on the campus of University of the South at Sewanee, where he is currently working on the University Commons and the Bookstore.
Brad and his wife Lacy have two children and reside in DeKalb County, Tennessee.
Chris Dudley's Bio
Chris graduated from Middle Tennessee State University in 2009 and came to work for American as an hourly field employee while our firm constructed World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro. His attention to detail and calm, articulate manner caught the eye of our Senior Superintendent, Larry Hawker, during construction of the church.
Upon completion of World Outreach, Chris continued full time for American Constructors. American Constructors was asked to implement a plan to save the Schermerhorn Symphony Center after the devastating floods of 2010. This was a 7 day a week, 24 hour a day operation for 7 months. Larry managed the first 12 hour shift and assigned Chris to manage the second shift as his Assistant Superintendent. The project was a success and the Symphony Center re-opened on schedule for New Years’ Eve 2010.
From the Symphony Chris joined our team building the new Nelson Andrews Leadership Center and was promoted to Superintendent in 2013. He recently completed the new Bellevue Community Center and Ford Ice Center in Bellevue, Tennessee.
Chris and his wife Kirby live in Murfreesboro, Tennessee and have two sons, Elliott and Grayson.
Donnie Stubblefield's Bio
Donnie Stubblefield has worked on over fifteen projects valued at over $150 million dollars. Donnie is a Superintendent and in command of field operations. His abilities are showcased in the past construction projects of the Trevecca Nazarene Bell Tower, the new Music Building at Trevecca, and a new community center and library renovation in Madison, Tennessee. He is currently building an addition at NHC Kingsport in Kingsport, Tennessee.
Donnie is a skilled craftsman with leadership skills and knowledge of all trades which make him an asset to our construction field operations. Donnie and his wife, Tara, have three children, and two grandchildren.
John Armour's Bio
John Armour is a Senior Superintendent with American Constructors. John’s experience in the construction industry includes work as a Laborer, Carpenter Helper, Concrete Finisher, Carpenter, Carpenter Foreman, Assistant Superintendent and Superintendent. John graduated from DeKalb County High School.
In his years with American Constructors, John has been an integral part of the successful completion of over $187 million of construction in Middle Tennessee and the southeastern United States. Significant projects include Brentwood Academy Fine Arts and Athletics, Spring Station Middle School, Nolensville Elementary School, Nolensville Town Hall and NHC Place Cool Springs. He recently completed the state-of-the-art $27 million Student Recreation and Wellness Center for Vanderbilt University and a new Skilled Nursing Facility for National HealthCare Corporation, valued at $29 million dollars.
Since 2016 John has been working on the campus of Lipscomb University completing a $3.5 million fast-track renovation at Johnson Hall and a $4.3 million renovation at their downtown Spark campus. He recently completed the $12 million Shinn Event Center on Lipscomb’s main campus.
John is married to Stephanie, has three children and five grandchildren.

Jonathan has been with American Constructors for over 17 years and has worked on over fifteen projects valued at over $150 million dollars. His abilities are showcased in multiple church projects including four phases of construction at Brentwood Baptist Church and multiple projects at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia, Tennessee.
Tim Brewer 's Bio
Tim Brewer is a Senior Superintendent with American Constructors. Tim has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, including work as a Construction Laborer, Apprentice, Carpenter, Carpenter Foreman, Assistant Superintendent, Project Superintendent and Senior Superintendent. Tim is a master builder with skills in virtually all trades. He is highly motivated and excels in both the construction of complex steel and concrete structures and highly detailed and ornate finishes.
Since beginning his tenure with American Constructors in 1990, Tim has overseen the successful completion of over $155 million of construction in Middle Tennessee and the southeastern United States. Some of his significant projects include the Wildhorse Saloon, Christ Presbyterian Academy, The Cumberland at Green Hills, Holy Family Catholic Church Addition, Brentwood Baptist Church Sanctuary, the Schermerhorn Symphony Center Site Scape and three new on-campus dormitories for Austin Peay State University that house approximately 400 students. Tim recently completed a project at Overton High School consisting of a 28,000 SF addition and 157,000 SF renovation for Metro Nashville Public Schools.

Tim Robertson's Bio
Tim Robertson is a Project Superintendent with American Constructors and has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry including working as an ironworker, electrician, welder, cabinet maker, carpenter, carpentry foreman, assistant superintendent, and superintendent. Tim’s past experience with numerous trades has allowed him to develop into a dynamic construction supervisor with an extensive knowledge of the procedures required to make a complex project successful.
Since beginning his tenure with American Constructors in 1991, Tim has built over $341 million of construction in Middle Tennessee and the southeastern United States. Significant projects include the Schermerhorn Symphony Center Flood Remediation and Mitigation ($33M), the Commons at Vanderbilt Phase I & II ($85M), Coffee County Middle School ($21M), Randolph School Campus with Athletic Facilities, Fine Arts Center and Administrative, Classroom and Science Building ($27M), Tennessee Christian Medical Center and Baptist Emergency Center ($34M), and four retirement and nursing facilities for National Healthcare ($48M).
