Scope Of Work

Off-site street improvement that included:

Clear and grub, concrete/asphalt demolition, saw-cutting, rough/fine grading, construction of PCC curb and gutter, sidewalk and approaches. Full depth A/C placement, header grind and overlay, remove and replace striping.

On-site improvement included: Area drain installation, valley gutter, and tie into parkway drain. Installation of 24x24 brooks catch basin, cut to fit. Trench and backfill for Edison conduits, stamped concrete, tight grade breaks Grade and compact, placement of class II AB. Construction of A-curb, landings, and an ADA accessible bus parking pad with an ADA approved path entering the building. All work inspected/verified and passed the first time.

 

When we were invited to bid this project. The owner was already above budget with the building expenses and had his PM taking over the project from someone else. We worked with the soils engineer and the city on the owners behalf and were able to make changes in the field to the design that kept cost down, and provided a better product. Not only that, we assisted the owner in hiring with hiring a landscaping company who was able to start  right away, so the building could occupied. When the project ended, the owner was extremely happy with our concrete work. Not a single crack, or standing water in all of 120 CY of on-site PCC. We have already been awarded our second contract with them for a similar scale project, with two more of the same magnitude currently in plan check.
