Scope Of Work
Ayoroa Simmons was selected to provide lead BIM coordination services for this new 158,000 sq. ft.
laboratory and research facility. This project marked a milestone for the Kentucky Division of Engineering
and Contract Administration as one of the first BIM projects of its type. Numerous conflicts were resolved
before reaching the field as a result of BIM coordination along with a substantial reduction in RFI’s when
compared to Phase I.
Highlights
• Reduced RFI’s by 70% when compared to Phase I
• Facilitated BIM learning curve with participating trade contractors
