DRIVEWAY REALIGNMENT PROJECT-
PROBLEM-
The driveway slope to the house had a 16% to 18% grade up to the house and during monsoon season water ran down the middle of the road and rutted it out making in impassable. This driveway was way to steep to pave. Being a VRBO may people had troubles walking up to the house let alone driving up to the house.
Solution-
We created a "S" turn or switch back lessing the slope to a 6% grade at its maximum. This was accomplished by; creating hillside dig backs, adding retaining walls, installing culverts for drainage and redirecting water runoff to stop erosion.
RESULT-
Now that winter has arrived every VRBO guest has been able to drive and walk up to the house with out a single problem.
