Scope Of Work
The new 37,000-sq.-ft. interdisciplinary research and training facility will include open modules for work collaboration, flexible space to accommodate the needs of ever-changing technology and research progress, over 1,000-sq.-ft. of Wet Lab space, and an HVAC system designed to meet coastal environment requirements.
The facility will house over 70 faculty and graduate students focused on research of coastal marine environmental biology, regenerative biology, neuroscience, STEM education, and bioengineering. In addition, the building will include a Sea Turtle Hospital and Discovery Lobby aimed to share the scientific and conservation goals of the Whitney Laboratory. The facility is planned to be completed in April of 2024.
