Anthony graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in 2017. Throughout his studies at Bloomsburg University, Anthony concentrated in business management. Upon graduation, Anthony began his career in the propane industry but quickly transitioned to the construction industry.
Throughout his young career, Anthony gained invaluable experience in managing customer relationships and operational best practices in construction. He has proven himself to be a hardworking, focused, and reliable individual with a can-do attitude. Anthony was eager to offer his skills and passion to help build Maccs Construction from the ground up along with Curt, Coop, and Shawn.
Anthony lives in Conshohocken, PA and enjoys spending his free time scuba diving recreationally.
From the young age of twelve, Curt knew that construction was his passion. From building a 3,400 square foot house with his father as a child to operating his own construction company, Curt has experience in all aspects of construction, from framing to finishing.
After graduating from Lafayette College with a Bachelor of Science degree, Curt entered the corporate world where he honed his people management, budgeting and project management skills for a number of companies including Waste Management and Ransome Caterpillar. However, while climbing the corporate ladder, Curt couldn’t shake the “construction itch”, and continued to nurture his love of construction by helping family and friends with small, and sometimes very large, projects.
During Curt’s tenure with his previous employer he was privileged enough to bring together a team of individuals that have the experience, drive and desire to succeed in the construction industry. The combined passion of this group coupled with the desire to differentiate themselves in the construction industry is exactly what Curt needed to bring MACCS to life. Curt is committed to positive growth as evidenced by his commitment to quality, timeliness and customer service with his previous employer. Working alongside Shawn, Coop and Anthony, he is determined to define MACCS Construction as a premier General Contractor.
Having been bitten by the “construction” bug very early in life, James Cooper (aka “Coop”) knew his career path by Middle School when a contractor was hired to renovate the attic of his childhood home into a new bedroom. Coop would eagerly rush home from school each day to see that day’s progress. His father further encouraged Coop’s love for “fixing” things and taught him that anything that had been built, could be fixed.
While attending Central Montco Technical High School, Coop not only worked at a hardware store, but operated his own home repair company. He was senior class foreman and eventually graduated at the top of his class. After graduation he began building concrete foundations and trained to be a heavy equipment operator. After a couple years he started his almost four-decade career with Custom Woodcraft Builders.
Coop’s initial position with CWB was an entry level position, but by the time he had left CWB for WJK & Associates in 2017, he was a master carpenter and held the title of construction manager, building over 25 homes and hundreds of high-end large residential renovations. After 38 years at CWI, Coop joined WJK Associates to continue his dream of building new, high-end custom dream homes.
Now Coop has joined with a group of fellow professionals at Maccs Construction to continue building. We will be focusing on both Residential construction and Commercial projects.
Coop has an impeccable reputation for being a hardworking man of integrity with solid ethics. His decades of extensive experience allow him to continually spot “potential issues” before they arise, saving everyone both time and money. His father’s “anything that is built can be fixed” attitude leaves clients feeling well taken care and confident they are in good hands when Coop is in charge.
Coop has been happily married to his wife Wendy for over 24 years. They and their two children Austin and Madison live in King of Prussia and are very active in their local church. The family enjoys traveling and time at the beach.
Shawn began his career in the restaurant industry in 1998 and excelled to General Manager where he operated multiple locations over a span of 19 years. He brought a keen eye for detail on what his guests expected and operated at a high level which lead to consistently exceeding corporate projection at all locations.
During his time operating restaurants, Shawn was part of a team that opened 5 locations from the construction phase to open for business. He contributed his experience on the floor plan and design of the building as it related to operational flow and efficiency.
This portion of his job sparked interest in the construction aspect of business and operations. These skills coupled with learning the construction process from his father at an early age doing home remodeling, lead Shawn into a career change.
Transitioning into the commercial construction industry in September of 2018, Shawn was a vital part of many projects and brought his experience in operations and client relations to the forefront. Shawn prides himself on keeping projects organized and on schedule.
The culmination of this experience brought Shawn and the rest of the team at MACCS together to start a leading General Contracting company.
During his time off, Shawn enjoys spending time with his daughters, Brittney and Rachel, playing golf and remodeling his own home.
