Scope Of Work
Igloo Products Corporation is the worldwide leader in the design and manufacturing of cooler and outdoor housewares. Igloo, along with Panattoni Development Company contracted with Evans for the design/build construction of a new distribution center in Katy, Texas.
The 420,000 SF warehouse and distribution center includes a small office area and was designed to accommodate future expansion up to 554,000 SF. The structure is composed of a conventional steel frame with load-bearing concrete tilt-wall panels along with a mechanically fastened TPO roof and ESFR fire sprinkler system. Structural steel columns were strategically spaced the facility to allow for maximum flexibility in product storage. Vertical color bands spanning the length of the dock walls along with a recessed panel above the office entryway in the shape of the Igloo logo accent the building’s exterior. Scope of work included complete design/build services, shell building construction with tenant build-out and a comprehensive site work package.
