Scope Of Work
Irving ISD’s Lady Bird Johnson Middle school was Texas’s first net-zero public school, and the largest in the nation at the time of construction. Net-zero means the total amount of energy used by the building on an annual basis is roughly equal to the amount of renewable energy created on the site. By using the most energy-efficient materials and systems available, Lady Bird Johnson Middle School requires about half the energy consumed by a typical middle school.
