At the age of 15, Randy experienced a traumatic experience when he was hospitalized.
While hanging out a neighborhood party, a fight broke out and shots were fired. In the Midst of running to safety Randy was unknowingly struck in the neck by a stray bullet. He continued home only to find out from his mother that he was bleeding from the neck. A young Randy spent the next 2 weeks in intensive care. Doctors told him that he was extremely lucky, and that 2cms stood between him and death. If the bullet had been 2 cms to the left, it would have struck a major artery, killing him in seconds. With the bullet being so close to his artery, even the procedure was very risky. This traumatic event changed Randy’s life forever.

Over 30 years later Cliff’s Asphalt Specialist is still a successful company. A company that has evolved to specialize in many different trades.
