I have many years experience in managing a construction business, who focused on Federal and State contracts. I spearheaded my own construction company and applied for the MWBE and the 8(a) certifications to focus on pursing federal and state contracts. I have been operating my construction business for seven years with a total of 20 plus years experience in the construction industry. I strongly believe in maintaining a strong employee relationship for productivity and OSHA safety and keeping in mine of our client/customer needs for a high level of customer satisfaction.

Construction Project Experience
PM with General Contractor. Managed all Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing as well as masonry trades employed with GC. Awarded several projects at the Northport VA hospital ranging from multi-million dollar fully bonded contracts, down to small several thousand dollar projects. Good working relationship with numerous specialty contractors and Venders (NuAir- Biological Safety Cabinets, Rauland Nurse Call Systems, Siemens Controls, Armstrong Medintech Flooring, Carrier HVAC Systems, Besam Automated Doors Systems, MediGas Medical Gases, Casey Systems Fire Alarm, Butler Bldgs, ETC) Because of customer satisfaction not only were we awarded more projects, but our yearly task order contracts were extended (2) additional years each. In addition, because of adherence to tight budget and time constraints, we were awarded (3) design build projects.
Project Highlights
- Northport V.A. Medical Center (Expand Outpatient / Ambulatory Surgery)
Description: A 12,000 sqft, three phase project in a working hospital. Removal of existing radiology department. Removal and Demolition of all existing interior walls, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc. Construct new ambulatory surgery area. Install new medical gasses & integrate into existing house system. Install all new electrical service/panels, headwalls, HVAC ductwork, Asbestos & lead remediation. New nurse call and fire alarm systems. Heavy coordination between “in house” medical and mechanical staff as well as outside venders, engineering, trades & patients.
- Northport V.A. Fire Vehicle Storage Building
Description: Design/Build Project. Oversight and supervision of the construction of a Butler steel building from the ground up. Foundation work included the use of auger piles, caps and multiple grade beams. All work done by subcontractors.
- Northport V.A. Medical Center (Renovate retail Store)
Description: Design/Build project. Renovate existing basement storage area into 7500-sqft retail store for veterans & employees. Work included HVAC, controls, Electrical, design work on duct layout and installation, carpentry etc.
- Northport V.A. Medical center (Renovate Oncology, Hematology area)
Description: Renovate existing hospital unit into new Oncology treatment area. Related work included HVAC, plumbing, electrical, specialty lighting, medical gas, Bio-exhaust hood and controls. Heavy coordination between hospital staff, patients and engineering.
- Northport V.A. Medical Center (Relocate LAMINAR Flow hood)
Description: Design/Build project. Implement USP797 requirements for the design/layout and construction of new satellite pharmacy for the V.A. Oncology/Hematology department. Provide concept drawings/sketches. Oversee construction and installation of new anteroom, laminar flow hood, class II type biological safety cabinet, seamless flooring, specialty ceilings and wall coverings.
- Northport V.A. Hospital (Life Safety Improvements)
Description: Removal and replacement of existing concrete sidewalks, curbs and ramps. Additional work included railings and Handicap access ramps. Interior work included the inspection; installation and repair of access doors to duct work and the replacement of both fire and smoke dampers.
- Northport V.A. Medical Center (Task Order Contract) Description: General repair and restoration projects consisting of floor replacement, trenching, drainage/drywell projects, building sprinkler installation and design. Install and retrofit Emergency Eyewash stations that comply with ANSI Z358.1-2004. “Fit outs” and rest room renovations.
- USMMA (Install OSHA Railing Project)
Description: Install and in some cases design OSHA compliant railings, building escape ladders, roof hatches, roof tie downs, fall arrest systems and catwalks in and around academy buildings and grounds. Coordination between USMMA staff, midshipmen and subcontractors. Chaired weekly progress meetings with department directors and managers. Provided specs, cuts and RFI’s for all materials. Placed orders with venders and verified certified payrolls.
- USMMA (Install 2nd Floor at Fureseth Hall)
Description: Install steel support beams, columns, spandrels and “Q” decking to except concrete slab flooring in existing building. Ensure that all work is OSHA compliant. Work closely with testing facility to maintain quality assurance on all ASTM matters and compliance
- USMMA (Road Reclamation Project)
Description: Reclamation of existing asphalt and base. Installation of new base and asphalt. Cement work (both curbing and flat work) All work done by Subcontractors. Monitoring and supervising that work complies with specs.
- United States Merchant Marine Academy (Salt Water Pump System)
Description: Install 2 salt-water pumps, related piping and electrical components at water bulkhead. Additional work included but was not limited to road, parking lot and site restoration. 90% of project workforce was subcontractor. Manage, daily logs and verify certified payrolls.
- United States Merchant Marine Academy (Demolition of Quarters “I” & Wooster Hall)
Description: Demo and removal of existing buildings and site materials. Lead and asbestos abatement. Survey and create 2 parking lots. Additional work included but was not limited to Asphalt paving, catch basins & storm drain work, cement footings and flat work. Telephone, fiber optic & utility repair.
- Smithsonian Institution / National Museum of the American Indian (Paint/spray booth project)
Description: Renovate existing spray booth unit to OSHA compliancy. Restoration of several rooms at museum. Installation of security key card devices for several locations. Heavy HVAC work; steam & balancing of both existing and newly installed air handler.
