Scope Of Work
Of the fourteen YMCA's in the Greater Indianapolis area, the Fishers Y is the busiest! In addition to myriad other fitness activities, they have an indoor fitness pool, an indoor hot tub, and a lap pool and two more pools outdoors. Because the indoor pools are in service year round, they get thousands of swimmers on the decks monthly. So the pool decks not only get very dirty but they also provide a serious slip hazard. The Fishers Y had previously utilized the services of a different slip resistant application that did not come with any warranty and they were not happy with the longevity of the product before reapplication was needed.
Michael's Floor Care deep cleaned the entire pool surround, removing mildew buildup and dirt. They then applied the slip resistant product, which immediately took the tile surfaces from average SCOF readings of 40-63 to greatly improved numbers of 82-84! In addition, because there is a three year warranty, we also return twice each year to take new SCOF measurements to ensure the floors are still safe to be used. All readings are logged and safeguarded should the need ever arise for proof that the surfaces are properly treated.
