Scope Of Work
Edifice, as Prime Contractor, provided Engineering and LEED® consulting services for the headquarters of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The longterm goal for the Mobility Design Lab is to reduce USAID’s overall space inventory, moving to a more effective workplace and sustainable environmental footprint. The space and furniture alteration project updated 40,000 SF on the 7th floor of the Ronald Reagan Building to better accommodate current space needs. The scope of work included designing the new workspace in the enclosed office suites, the core hallways, elevator lobbies, restrooms, an Operations Center and FF&E. Work included upgrades to all mechanical distribution, electrical power, lighting, plumbing fixtures and Life Safety. This project is registered with the United States Green Building Council in the LEED® for Commercial Interiors (CI) program and is targeting a LEED® rating level of Silver.
