Scope Of Work

Edifice provided Design+Build services as the Prime Contractor to GSA for the construction of a Security Guard Booth as part a perimeter security upgrade at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Nebraska Avenue Complex (NAC) in , DC. The DHS Chief Readiness Support Office required the installation of a new guard booth to facilitate monitoring of authorized access at the southeast entrance to the campus. Edifice provided all design and construction services to include coordination, labor, materials and delivery of services in accordance with the stringent security requirements of the project site. The project scope included demolition of existing perimeter fencing and preparation of the site for the new facility. The Security Guard Booth was designed with ballistic walls, doors and windows, and included lighting, HVAC and monitoring controls integrated with the campus systems. The new structure was erected on a concrete slab with surrounding brick wall. New fencing installed and tied in with the existing perimeter.
