Scope Of Work

As Prime Contractor on this Design+Build project, Edifice renovated more than 24 restrooms within buildings 202, 204, and 205 at the Army Research Laboratories (ARL) complex in Adelphi, MD. Renovations to these restrooms adhered to all code requirements required by the Architectural Barriers Act (ABA). Throughout the duration of the project, Edifice phased all demolition and installation work during normal business hours to accommodate the occupied and secure facilities of the ARL, so that client scientific research could continue unimpeded. Edifice performed all demolition to worksite areas in an environmentally conscious manner, abating any potentially hazardous materials. New plumbing and piping, automatic flush valves, automatic faucets, energy- efficient LED lighting, and architectural and plumbing finishes were replaced. Edifice also used entirely cleared labor for this work, in order to maintain and protect the sensitive nature of the site mission objectives.
