Scope Of Work
SDCERA, reached out to DSG to reduce heat gain within their offices. Located in San Diego, CA. it is obvious that there is a lot of sunshine. Employees seated next to windows in the building were always hot, while other employees located in the middle of the building were always cold. Adding our ceramic coated films solved two issues.
1. Concerns for darkening the offices - These films are nearly clear but reject UV light that we feel as heat. Adding the film did not reduce the amount of natural light entering the building. In fact it increased the amount of natural light because no longer were the roller shades needed to reduce heat loads during the work days.
2. Temperature Control - Now that the employees sitting next to the glass were not hot, they were no longer turning up the AC units to cool down. This reduced the consumption of air conditioning while keeping the employees who sat away from the glass much warmer.
