Alan Rudnick is the Founder, President and Chief Executive Officer of ADR Security and a second-generation low-voltage entrepreneur who learned the trade from his father. Rudnick is a prolific security systems installer and integrator with IT competencies and more than 20 years of experience in low-voltage contracting—including surveillance, intercoms, access control, locksmithing, data cabling and intrusion alarms. Since the company’s founding in 2000, he has committed to providing excellence in installation and service to residential, commercial, multifamily and high-end clientele in New York City and surrounding regions. Rudnick is credited with leading ADR crews in building out the Fios by Verizon infrastructure in residential and commercial properties in New York. Rudnick is NICET Fire Alarm System Systems Level I, holds a New York State Fire and Security Installer License and is a Licensed Locksmith. His goal at ADR Security today? To leverage ADR Security’s experience with technology to create an industrywide best-practice standard in the high-risk security market while offering customers exceptional service and support.
Michael Caruso is Vice President and Chief Security Officer and is responsible for hiring and managing the alarm response/runner team as well as working with chief security officers and other C-Suite stakeholders. He is a New York State Licensed Private Investigator (PI) and the qualifying agent for ADR Security’s PI practices. Caruso is a retired New York Police Department detective whose 20-year career with the force included undercover and narcotics investigations—and even the delivery of a baby while on duty! Retired in 2003, he then worked for the Kings County District Attorney in Brooklyn, N.Y. where he located and protected witnesses and provided executive protection and body guard services, bringing his security experience to nearly 30 years.
William McShane is Vice President and Chief Investigation Officer and oversees and manages the Private Investigation Practice at ADR Security, a full service agency, the firm has a focus on multifamily and landlord-tenant matters. He is also a principal at WJM Enterprises, a consultative firm specializing in loss prevention and life safety programs. A former Supervisory Special Agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Director of Corporate Security for a New York-based hotel chain, McShane has over 40 years of experience in public and private sector security management.He is an American Hotel and Lodging Association’s Certified Lodging Security Director (CLSD); member of ASIS International; member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners; and New York State Licensed Private Investigator.
