Abe Simon's Bio
Abe Simon, Co-Owner, Perfect Restoration
I went into the restoration field right out of school and have been working in it for 13 years. I started as a laborer, and worked my way up to a tech, lead and then field manager. When Sam approached me about going into business together, I had the technical knowledge and experience to be an owner. Sam and I have the same values and work ethic; I knew that this would lead to a great partnership and that our business would be successful.
One of the things I really enjoy about this work is the scientific aspect of the industry. I love learning the latest drying techniques and how to decontaminate a house from mold and mildew, using the latest technology. It’s important to be on the cutting edge in this industry. This enables us give our clients the benefit of our expertise.
Perfect Restoration is helping people during a very difficult period of their life. They are grateful that we are there to assist them in reclaiming their home or their office. In addition to being interesting, this work is very fulfilling.
Personal: Abe lives in Brooklyn with his wife and Daughter. His hobbies include: boating, fashion, cars, motorcycles and time with friends and family.
Sam Goldberger's Bio
Sam Goldberger, Co-Owner, Perfect Restoration
Before starting Perfect Restoration, I spent 11 years owning my own company in the construction industry. I worked with commercial, residential and industrial clients. I often was involved in the rebuild after a fire or flood cleanup. During this time I saw what a rewarding field the restoration industry is. Abe and I started Perfect Restoration because we knew that we work very well together. I knew that with Abe’s restoration experience and my experience in construction that we would make a great team! It has been one of the best decisions I ever made!
It’s an exciting industry in that no two days are the same. I find it rewarding knowing that we are helping people during some of the worst times of their life. For example, when we come into a home, the owners are often cleaning up the aftermath of the event; we can see how overwhelmed they are. We assure them that we will take care of everything and it will look as good as new.
When a business has a loss and has to close, it is financially devastating. Perfect Restoration comes in and gets things cleaned up ASAP so that the business can reopened with minimal loss. This work is very fulfilling. I’m so glad to be in this field.
Personal: Sam lives in Rockland County with his wife and 5 Children. His hobbies include: spending time with family and friends, boating, and travel.

Alain Santiago's Bio
Alain Santiago - Field Manager
I was born in the Dominican Republic and have been living in Rockland County resident since the age of 11. After high school, I earned a criminal justice degree from RCC and an engineering degree from Lincoln Tech. Since entering the restoration field, I have earned eight certifications from FEMA.
Coming to Perfect Restoration was an incredible opportunity for growth. I started out as a laborer and worked my way up to field manager. It has given me a deep knowledge of this work. I now lead and teach others so that they can work their way up as well.
Being cutting edge in the best methods for handling challenging restoration situations is key to our success. I find the learning to be very interesting. It’s one of the most enjoyable aspects of this work.
I also love being helpful and accessible and to our clients. They are often afraid of what is going to happen. I assure them that everything will be taken care of and encourage them to call my cell 24/7 if they have questions. Most field managers would prefer text or email but I like the old fashioned way of communicating because it’s important to connect directly with clients. I am grateful to be working in a job that is challenging and rewarding.
Alain is a father of 2 children and lives in Rockland County. An avid reader, he collects hard cover and first edition books. He also enjoys sports and fitness.
