ABOUT INTEGRITY GARAGE DOOR SERVICE
Michael and Rosanne Manning are local residents and have lived in Palm Harbor for over 40 years, and the two pride themselves on being a family company. Their son, Jason even helps out during peak times which makes Integrity Garage Door Service a true family owned and operated business. Michael brings 25 years of experience in the construction industry to Integrity Garage Door Service and is usually on the job-site himself. Michael and Rosanne believe in connecting with their customers and being available to them, which is why they feel it is important to personally answer all phone calls themselves. The Mannings also understand that when a garage door isn't working properly, it is an emergency situation for a homeowner, so they will quickly respond.
Ninety-nine percent of Integrity Garage Door Service business is repair work. Michael explains, "Many of the bigger franchise companies in the industry will come to your home and try to sell you a new garage door. We prefer to repair the door if possible, which will save you money and time."
Many homeowners use their garage door entrance more than their home's front door entrance. "We use our garage doors so many times a day that we don't even think about how many times we are opening and closing it," says Rosanne. "You don't want to think about your garage door, you just want it to work the way it's meant to.”
Most garage doors break because of faulty springs. Integrity Garage Door Service uses only the highest quality products in the industry. "We only use galvanized steel springs, which come with a lifetime replacement from the manufacturers," says Michael. "When we replace garage door springs with galvanized steel springs our customers basically never have to worry about replacing their springs again." Galvanized steel does not rust or corrode; exactly what Florida home-owners need to beat Florida humidity and hurricane season.
As a local, Michael understands the importance of safeguarding your home during hurricane season. "The local area building codes require garage doors to be able to withstand hurricane force winds up to 123 mph,” says Michael. "All of Discount Garage Door Services garage doors are 130-170 mph wind-rated and are also high missile impact rated, which many of my competitors do not carry."
"If you buy a garage door from Integrity Garage Door Service you're going to get a door that exceeds all local building requirements," says Michael, adding that "by using a door that exceed the county's code requirements, it makes customers eligible for a discount on their homeowners insurance". Integrity Garage Door Service garage doors come with a lifetime guarantee and ensure a safer home during hurricane season.
During a hurricane, air-borne debris does a majority of the damage to homes. Michael explained to me that 60 to 80% of garage doors that are compromised are pushed in by air-borne debris. "When air-borne debris compromises your garage door during a hurricane it can be detrimental to your home," says Michael. "The hurricane strength winds have the ability to create positive pressure inside your garage, which will literally raise the roof off of your home."
Another safety feature that Integrity Garage Door Service provides is replacing extension springs with torsion springs. Extension springs do not wear equally and can be a major hazard if they break. Torsion springs, on the other hand, wear equally on both sides and provide vibration control, which makes your garage door much quieter. Michael is adamant that you should have torsion springs instead of extension springs because of the difference of quality and safety issues. "If a customer has extension springs, but does not want to switch to torsion springs they have the choice to apply safety cables to their extension springs," explains Michael.
Michael has designed and customized garage doors for customers with a specific need or look in mind. He custom-designed a garage door system for a classic car collector in the area who wanted his garage door to lie flat against his 15-ft.-high garage ceiling. Michael fabricated a system specifically for the cars to be able to fit on lifts inside of the garage without damaging the doctor's prized cars. Michael also put together a working Avante all-glass garage door for a local professional athlete.
