Scope Of Work
This New Jersey Transit rail and tunnel project involved the design of a light rail system from Broad Street Station in Newark, NJ to the proposed tunnel tie-in at the Newark subway system at Penn Station.

T.Y. Lin International (TYLI) was responsible for the survey, mapping and right-of-way task objectives in support of the preliminary and final design effort.
TYLI also provided new landscaping and the mitigation of impacts to existing landscaping and site features due to the construction of the NERL light rail track, stations and tunnel. Additional work involved streetscape improvements and parking facility renovations along McCarter Highway, Lombardy Street, and Broad Street including such landmarks as NJPAC, River Front Stadium and the Broad Street Train Station. Structural soil was utilized for street tree planting to increase survival rate and duration.
