Scope Of Work

The Don F. Pratt Museum, located in Building 5702 at Fort Campbell,
was established in 1956 as a division museum for the 101st Airborne
Division. The museum's central theme is the history of the 101st
Airborne Division, the "Screaming Eagles," and it covers the period
from the early 1940s to present.
This project included furnishing all labor, equipment, and materials
for the Design and Construction of a fully renovated facility and
surrounding site work, that included architectural, mechanical, civil,
and electrical work. Approximately 9,000 square feet of space was
renovated to include, but not limited to, exterior renovation of the
front canopy, metal soffits and fascia, stone veneer panels, new
exterior doors, downspouts and gutters, and the entire exterior
lighting was redesigned. The interior renovation included abatement
of existing asbestos, complete interior demolition, and new interior
finishes (floors, walls, ceilings). Also new electrical, specialty museum
exhibit lighting, plumbing and HVAC system, Fire suppression and
communication systems were part of the scope of this project.
Site work included a complete removal of the existing parking area
asphalt, curbs, rock, debris, sidewalks, and vegetation. Underground
utilities were relocated as necessary, and a new parking area was
designed and constructed, along with new ADA compliant sidewalks
and streetscape. Solar pedestrian LED crosswalk signals were
installed, as well as bollards, and all new plantings and landscapeto
include trees such as maples and oaks.
This task order action was 100% Design/Build. All design and materials
were in strict accordance with the United Facilities Criteria, Fort
Campbell Technical Design Guide, International Building Codes, Fire
Codes, ABA Accessibility Codes, and state specific applicable design,
construction, and environmental items. The A/E of record was
Johnson Early Architects, our proposed A/E for this MATOC.
