Four40 South LaSalle is one of the most iconic buildings in the Chicago Loop. In the spring of 2015, the building received a $20M renovation, which included the addition of a new café and dining facility—Four40. Boelter Designers and Equipment Specialists were called upon to make recommendations, and eventually, to complete the foodservice job. Working alongside owners and architects our team tailored several sets of contemporary designs to fit the evolving tastes of tenants. Boelter’s Project Managers and Installers coordinated with general contractors and the trades to ensure the day-to-day operations of the building were not disrupted. This included precise rough-in scheduling and flexibility around existing electrical and ventilation. The $943K + facility was completed in May of 2015. Since then, customers of Four40 have been enjoying a sleek, elegant and high-end café style of dining. The variety of culinary options include a deli, soup and salad, pizza, create your own, and beverage station complete with barista bar. A grab and go station is also available for workers on the run.
