Furnishing and installing materials: Install the wire, cable, and
hardware in accordance with the
specifications outlined
herein.
A. The contractor shall be an Authorized Panduit PCI
Installation Company. A copy of the
PCI Company certificate or
verification by Panduit records must accompany contractor
bid.
No expired certificates or certificates issued under Panduit past
certification
programs will be accepted.
B. All work will
be at Cat5e standards with Cat6 cable.
C. Only authorized
Panduit distribution channels providing the established Panduit
discount to RISD shall be used. Proof of purchase from an authorized
Panduit
distributor will be the vendor’s responsibility upon
RISD request.
D. All new Data station cables shall be Panduit or
General Cable and shall meet the
requirements published in the
specifications for ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-B.2 (Category 5-e).
