Scope Of Work
The scope of this job was to test the station for microbial presence after complaints from staff had raised suspicion that there may be an issue.
The building operates 24 hours a day / 365 day a year. One of the main difficulties encountered was establishing closed building conditions to properly test the areas of concern and assess the building. A unique solution provided for this job was to work with both Bill Graffeo and the Chief and Lieutenant to test for microbial[s] on a scheduled day that the department was aware of the testing and the bay doors could remain closed as much as possible, and access was granted to the entire building.
At conclusion of the inspection, there was identified areas of concern and sampling was conducted smoothly. The reporting was distributed to key contacts and recommendations were made accordingly.
