I have worked in the landscape industry for 14 years, in that time I have had the opportunity to manage work crews, coordinate and layout projects, and work directly with the public. Currently I am employed at MSNW, a full service facilities management company, where I serve as a the Head of Landscape Design and Construction. Prior to my current employment I worked for Green Effects Inc for three years in a similar capacity, I was a Project Manager, Designer, and Head of the Commercial Renovation Division thriving on on reviving large corporate campuses through designing and renovating the campus landscapes giving them a new face and new life. Prior to my time at Green Effects I was employed by Crista Ministries in a very similar position. Furthermore, in the eight years prior to working for Crista, I worked at a retreat facility called Cedar Springs and gained a vast amount of experience in layout, design, and maintenance of landscapes as well as expanding and maintaining the trail network on their 380 acre campus. This practical application combined with my Bachelors of Landscape Architecture Degree from Washington State University has given me diverse knowledge in the understanding, managing, and resolving of landscape issues. In addition, I have also acquired my LEED AP (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) status and have an understanding of the sustainable design process. Also I have owned and operated my own landscape design and construction company. This experience in addition to my other employers required a thorough knowledge of design and construction standards and allowed me to develop a keen attention to detail as well as interact with a variety of clients on a daily basis
