Scope Of Work
Cadence McShane completed the Aloft Austin South, a six-story, metal-frame hotel located in the new St. Elmo district in Austin, Texas. The six-floor hotel features 135 guest rooms and includes amenities such as a swimming pool, a “backyard” area with open seating around an open fire pit, a fitness room, and 105 surface parking spaces. Aloft Austin South also has 2 meeting rooms, totaling 1,125 square feet.
Work on the 1.986-acre site also included grading, paving, utilities, and a detention pond. A unique feature on-site is a rain garden used to collect and hold rainwater from downspouts, driveways, and sidewalks for a short time, allowing the water to slowly seep back into the ground and filter potential runoff pollutants collected and flowing into storm drains.
