Scope Of Work

This project was completed by one of the firm's partners while working at another firm.

The Sara T. Landess Technology and Learning Center marks a new beginning for student life at Clark State Community College (CSCC).  The new $13 million, 55,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility welcomes visitors as a new “front door” to the Springfield , Ohio campus.

The Center’s futuristic-looking glass curtain wall, steel and insulated metal panel façade create a high-tech image that reflects the college’s vision for the future.  The Landess Center was designed to be a bold, unique, highly innovative and cutting edge design for this growing community college that desired to create a new identity for its future.

The building was designed to stand in stark contrast to the rest of campus. All of the existing buildings are of primarily brick façade construction. The lack of the use of masonry on the new building changes CSCC’s entire image and complexion while still linking the campus visually and physically together.
