Scope Of Work
Michels used a microtunneling machine to complete a 220LF single drive of 74-inch outer diameter pipe for a raw water pump station intake. The single tunnel drive was initiated at the bank of the O'Shaughnessy Reservoir and completed in the reservoir bottom.
Michels installed a 1-Inch HDPE water sampling line in the tunnel for continuous sampling at the pump station. A Michels-managed marine contractor installed a 90-degree elbow to the end of the tunnel casing and an intake screen structure.
The newly constructed pump station will provide a supply of drinking water.
