Georges was born in Quebec and started in the hospitality industry at an early age.
From 1969 to 1970, he worked as a wine steward at Quebec’s famed Chateau Frontenac. In 1971, he moved to San Juan, Puerto Rico, where he completed his degree in Hotel Management at the Cornell University Branch. His restaurant career included such positions as Maitre D’, Dining Room Manager, and Sommelier in some of the finer restaurants in San Diego and Orange Counties.
In the late 80’s, Georges started a very successful restaurant and catering business, later developing a unique coffee brand “Café Nervosa”, with Paramount Consumer Products.
Returning to the hospitality industry, he managed high-end restaurants such as Code and Pascal – both in Orange County – between 2003 and 2009. His experience ranges from haute dining to casual, hip bistros. He has worked with different chefs on menu development, focusing on organizing Wine & Dinner Pairings and other events.
In 2010, motivated by his love for plants and design, Georges launched Vertical Garden Solutions. Since the beginning, he has applied himself to finding ways to improve upon existing applications within the industry and create innovate techniques and design.
