Scope Of Work
The Town of Wattenberg provides drinking water to approximately 400 people.The town is plagued with a water supply high in nitrates and nitrites. A Compliance Enforcement Order was issued to the town. The solution employed a reverse osmosis membrane filtration system with brine water diffused into the S. Platte River.
Dan’s Custom Construction was the lead construction manager for this project and the construction consultant for the design-build (D/B) team upgrading the Town’s water treatment facilities water filtration process.
The project included the installation of a new Lighthouse Separation System 50 GPM reverse osmosis water filtration facility and all new water supply pumping systems, installation of 5,000 ft of discharge pipeline to the S. Platte River, coordination with Army Corp of Engineers for placement of discharge diffuser into the center of the South Platte River.
