Scope Of Work
The Nexus is a six story development located on the lively Telegraph Avenue; a short walk to UC Berkeley. At street level, a retail space is open to passersby and residents enter through the main lobby. An elevator takes you to the five floors of residential units above, arranged around a central courtyard. The rooftop deck boasts views of San Francisco, the Golden Gate Bridge, and the Campanile. Other amenitites include bike storage and laundry rooms on each floor. The design also incorporates green features such as biofiltration planters, natural light and ventilation, LED lighting, and low flow plumbing fixtures.
Construction efforts and challenges on site have included a complicated shoring design, use of a tower crane, and mitigating impacts on neighboring properties
