Scope Of Work
The Catalina Island Museum is one of the oldest institutions on the Island, and it finally has a permanent home! The Ada Blanche Wrigley Schreiner Building is one of the most significant contributions to the Island and its history. The building turned out to be as beautiful as the art that’s inside it. It provides 18,000 square feet of exhibition, event, and support space. Currently expanded nearly three times the footprint of the Museum’s previous location!
This structure is no small masterpiece, with over 5 million pounds of concrete in its footings, walls, and slabs! The building was constructed with Red Iron Structural Steel, metal stud framing, and a concrete mix design exceeding 4,000 PSI!
