Steve Meier, Owner of Meier Construction, has been working in the
construction industry since 1985. He has worked as a carpenter,
foreman, and engineer building custom homes and commercial buildings
including office, restaurant, medical, municipal, and factories.
At the age of 25, Steve decided to return to school, and put
himself through college at UW-Platteville. In 1998, he received his BS
in Civil Engineering with emphases in Structural Engineering, Project
Management, and Concrete Tilt-up Design. His decision to return to
college was driven by his desire for self improvement, and to excel in
the construction industry.
While still in college, Steve was hired by a major Madison Area
contractor to oversee their design-build projects. Working as a
Project Manager while finishing college, Steve went on to design and
manage projects from small renovations to developments over $35
million in size. Project experience includes Factory, Federal,
Fitness, Food, Laboratory, Medical, Multi-family, Municipal, Office,
Residential, Retail, and Zoo.
While working for a commercial general contractor, Steve
started Meier Construction in 2001 to work on small residential side
projects. While working for other contractors, Steve developed his own
systems and procedures to increase efficiencies, construction times,
and quality. Having a desire to provide better construction services,
He decided to make Meier Construction his full time focus 2014.
Since 2014, Steve has continued to improve his processes, and
remains dedicated to complete customer satisfaction, high quality
standards and competitive pricing.
