Scope Of Work
Jones Sign designed, permitted, engineered, fabricated, and installed this 67 foot tall multi-tenant pylon, along with demolishing the old sign, for Simon Properties at the Gurnee Mills shopping center in Gurnee, IL. The demolition and install of the new sign took place on top of the existing foundation, next to a huge swamp, so the challenges were numerous.
The existing pylon’s outdated 1980s pastel country motif was replaced with a timeless design incorporating stone columns and earth tones. The backdrop behind the Gurnee Mills letters included a color changing RGB LED light system controllable from a smart phone.
