Scope Of Work
The Havertown School District contacted us in late May of 2017 with an emergency project. In September, they had a wheel chair user attending the school and the school needed to be accessible. The original building was built in 1951 with an addition twenty years later. Naturally, the two building were not connected on the bottom level, nor was there the ability to add an elevator. 101 Mobility of Greater Philadelphia proposed two Savaria Custom Curved Inclined Platform Lifts. Although this product from start to finish is usually a five to six month project due to the complexity of measuring and fabricating the custom curved rail in Austria, with the cooperation of Savaria, the Municipality, the School District and four very dedicated 101 Technicians we were ready the day the school opened fifteen weeks after the first evaluation.
