Scope Of Work
Centrally located in the nationally recognized Mueller Planned Unit Development (PUD) of Austin, Texas, Austin Independent School District (ISD)’s new state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center (PAC) provides the community with space for myriad performances, cultural events, and conferences.
The PAC venue features a 1,229-seat auditorium, 250-seat black box theater, dance studio, multi-purpose rehearsal and meeting room, visual arts display, kiln room, recording studio, fine arts library and offices, outdoor amphitheater, and 443-space parking garage. The building is was originally slated for a LEED Silver certification, but due to its outstanding performance, it is now expected to achieve a LEED Gold certification as well as a 4-star rating from Austin Energy Green Building.
This project exemplifies the community and district’s commitment to making fine arts education available to all. Serving a district of 82,000 students and a metropolitan area of over 1 million, the facility accommodates a diverse mix of events, from state-wide music competitions to school productions to community meetings. It is in operation weekdays, nights, and weekends and draws visitors from around the city and region.
