Scope Of Work

?This project is located next to the heart of the City of Arlington’s shopping district, “The Highlands”.  This project was built using light gauge cold form steel framing with aerated concrete planks on the upper floors. The building is finished with a mix of full size brick, thin stone and EFIS.  As the project was submitted for permit, the Architect Passed away which required us to find a new team and work with the city to resolve final corrections they requested during permit review. This included having the building reclassified for code to alleviate having 3 Hour rated walls as originally designed and as the city was requesting. With several meetings we were able to revise the classification and have the project rated as a Type IIB for fire code removing 2 layers of gyp on all of the buildings load bearing walls and ceilings on the first floor. This project was built under a management agreement with J Wales by Mr. Morgan and Mr. Kellogg Mr. Morgan was the preconstruction manager handling all cost reduction reviews and budgeting working with the design team prior to construction and Mr. Kellogg handled all construction activities in the field.
