Scope Of Work
This project consisted of removal of the existing metal framed structure which housed Upper Merion Townships screening equipment, and replace with split face block, pre-cast concrete roof deck, . The existing structure was in poor condition due to weathering from a harsh environment. The existing structure was carefully dismantled to allow for the equipment inside to remain in operation throughout the entire construction process. Next, we formed and poured a new concrete curb on the existing foundation. From there, the split face block was laid as a more durable and nicer looking alternative to a metal structure. We then set the pre-cast concrete roof deck and installed a rubber membrane roofing system to keep the building waterproof. We also replaced the existing doors, louvers, and fiberglass grating.
