Nate was born and raised in Portland, OR. He attended Western Oregon University on a track scholarship and graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology with a Minor in Psychology. His youth pastor taught him how to paint, and he used that skill to run his own summer painting business throughout his college years. Nate and his wife Megan met in Thailand where they served together on a track team through Athletes in Action. Before starting Anderson Painting, Nate taught high school science and coached track & field at Northern Vance High School.
Nate’s skill set and personality make for a great, visionary and motivated leader. He is committed to offering real, career growing opportunities to his team of employees, and is passionate about providing the highest quality painting in the Triangle. One of the aspects that he enjoys most about his job is getting to know the amazing community of people in the Triangle! If you’ve ever had a sales consultation with Nate, you’ll realize pretty quickly that he values people & relationships.
Nate is actively involved in the Triangle’s chapter of PDCA (Painting & Decorating Contractors of America), & works closely with local refugee resettlement agencies, volunteering his time encouraging others in the community to work with and support refugees. Always up for an adventure, in his free time you’ll find Nate traveling the world, hiking, backpacking, skiing, fishing, snorkeling, and rock climbing with his girls.
