Our Story

HISTORY

In 1989, our founder George "Ted" Petrakis decided that it was time to take a break from the Auto Industry. Ever-passionate to improve his skill set, he attended Macomb Community College and completed studies in HVAC/R Theory, beginning work in the field immediately thereafter. In 1991, he was one of the first to obtain a Refrigerant Certification from Ferris State University and received his Mechanical Contractor License in 1992. Since then, Thor Mechanical has continuously sought out the best new products and techniques to provide our customers with state-of-the-art mechanical equipment and top-notch installation with superior customer service.
