Project Description
This project involved getting motorized insulated shutters over an outdoor patio with fireplace. The home owners wanted a screen porch. Additionally, they wanted to enclose the porch to protect them from the weather elements and contain the heat. So, we installed six motorized retractable shutters using extruded aluminum double walled foam filled slats. These units were recessed into the soffit of the home. Fixed screen were installed on the inside of the support posts. This gave the area dual use for summer and winter use. Heating elements were later installed allowing the home owners to use the space any time of the year.
