Project Description
Southview Design approached us with a set a plans for an outdoor pool house. They had a detailed plan for their patio and wanted to know if they could incorporate retractable screens into their project. There were a couple of challenges: recessing a retractable door into stone tapered columns and putting fixed screens into a curved opening. We found unique solutions for both these problems. We worked together with the builder to preset the retractable screen door prior to the columns being built. We used a special PVC material to install the fixed screens. The finished product became their favorite place in the home to entertain and enjoy the outdoors free from bugs. Additionally, it allowed them to retract the screens when the bugs weren’t out and use the pool house as an open patio.
