Scope Of Work

This 2 year project turned into a 15 month project to be completed by end of year.  With contractors working around the clock to complete the project time, an incentive program was created to provide each worker with gift cards, raffle tickets for large items including a $25,000 Truck or cash, big screen TV's, Nintendo sets, etc.

With many project managers and sub contractors on the project, my primary responsibilities included  building, site and freeway signage/way finding, landscaping, storm water, fire and lighting inspections, contractor incentive raffle and prize give away, closeout documents, CofO.

The City of Goodyear team was amazing to work with. I was able to coordinate, work with and overcome challenges as they arose.  It was a pleasure to get everyone on the same page.   City of Goodyear staff commented frequently that "Elizabeth runs a tight ship, she is a pleasure to work with."

Close out documents were organized early on, attic stock storage was coordinated with the Facilities Manager and staff.  Needed records for JCAHO inspections were provided to the Facilities team for their inspections and accreditation.

Fire and Lighting inspections were scheduled and walked with inspectors.  One of the challenges I was able to overcome was finding a sewer smell that could only be smelled in certain areas at certain times. This was accomplished by exploring possible causes with the sub contractors. The culprit vent line was located and repaired.

For a short time, prior to opening, there was no hot water in a few of the rooms on the 4th floor.  After walking the project, reviewing drawings, and exploring possible causes with the contractor, the problem was located in a branch circuit setter, that was not in the correct location.

At the close of project, the building inspector invited me over to the City offices to pick up the CofO in lieu of waiting for it to be processed and mailed in a few weeks.  CTCA was very pleased with the outcome.  Additional work was awarded as a result.
