Scope Of Work
Muñoz is the civil engineer for the $80 million segments, of a continuous waterfront esplanade along the bulkhead , from West 25th Street to West 59th Street. Project elements include the surface treatment of piers 66, 72, 84, and 97. The piers will have new piles and decking, with accessibility to the public for active or passive recreation. Park improvements include the waterside esplanade, paving, railings, drinking fountains, irrigation systems, plazas, and combined sewer outfalls, which require repair, modification, or reconstruction.
Muñoz provided the verification and location, adequacy and availability of public utilities, drainage system design, and retaining wall design for segments that extend over 9,500 linear feet. We also inspected Combined Sewer Outfalls to determine the impact the project on these DEP structures, given their existing condition.
