Scope Of Work
Munoz Engineering is providing construction management services as a sub-consultant for the new Croton Water Filtration Plant in the Borough of the Bronx.
This is one of the largest construction projects in New York City’s history. It consists of a 4 story, 12 acre treatment plant built entirely underground at Van Cortlandt Park. 10 of those acres will be converted to a municipal golf course over the filtration plant.
When completed, the plant will filter 290 million gallons of water per day from the Croton Reservoir, one of three active reservoir systems serving New York City. The Croton system provides approximately 10% of New York City’s water demand.
Muñoz’ construction management services include mechanical, civil and electrical construction inspection as well as cost engineering and site safety work.
