Scope Of Work
This project just kicked off on September 18th and consists of installation of new sewer laterals and a "Storm Tech" underground detention system with connecting site drainage. In order to install the two sewer laterals, we are in the process of closing Thompson Street in order to saw cut and remove existing pavements and excavate down to a maximum 14' to core into existing sewer manholes. There are existing 36'' water mains as well as overhead power lines that will present some challenges for us but nothing we haven't seen before! Once we complete the work within the road, we will back fill the lines up to the pavement sub grade with 100% stone before placing a concrete cap to repair the road way.
Our crews are working closely with the Fulton County inspector to ensure we provide the best possible product within the County's strict regulations and the Owner of the project, Kairos Development, has been on site with us to witness our work and so far have been pleased with our progress and how we function as a team. Our goal is to have all work complete within the next few weeks but we may end up performing the installation of the site water and roof drains as well!
This area is highly visible to the public and is in the heart of downtown Alpharetta, which is currently blossoming with new developments including residential, commercial, mixed use, etc.
10-6-17 - Crews have wrapped up the Storm Tech underground detention system, provided by Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. or ADS. We are working to pour splash pads in the storm manholes and then on to capping off existing water services.
10-16-17 - Just wrapped up pouring concrete patches for the sanitary sewer tie ins. Tomorrow we come back to remove traffic control and this project is complete. Just another successful project completed by Mach 1!
