Scope Of Work

July 9, 2019 - Mach 1 added yet another automotive related project to its ever growing list of great projects!  DBS Corporation out of Chattanooga, TN reached out to us to work with them on this project back in March 2019 and as of July 9, we've imported in over 700 loads of structural fill material to balance the site, completed the storm drainage and are presently working to install the sanitary sewer lines.  This project involves some intense planning as part of the sewer system must be installed underneath Atlanta Highway via jack and bore, with the remaining portion installed via open cut at depths of 10' inside Florence Drive.  Mach 1 is working closely with the area GDOT and Athens-Clarke County inspectors to ensure the work is executed properly with minimal disruption to the daily activities of the local businesses.  Additionally, we must remove and relocate an existing 12'' water main along Atlanta Highway and the subsequent fire/domestic water lines into the property, as well as yet another underground detention system as provided by ADS.  In the coming weeks, we hope to have the utilities in place and the parking lot graded for curb and pavement so that toward the end of the project, we can install the underground detention system.  The site needs to be stabilized with a combination of grass/pavements to mitigate or hopefully eliminate silt entering the system.  Check back soon for more updates!
