Placed 560 cubic yards of concrete for structure and equipment foundations

Installed 13,785 linear feet of 4/0 cu ground-grid

Installed 2,400 linear feet of Rob Roy and concrete encased conduit

Installed 230 feet of precast cable trench

Installed a perimeter fence

Placed 380 cubic yards of stone

Above-Grade Construction

Erected 33,256 pounds of steel 

Set and assembled a 69/13.8 kV Xfrmr and control house

Installed 500 linear feet of bus work (3 inch and 5 inch)

Installed electrical P&C 

Erected two dead-end structures

Rigged and set 2 - 69/13.8 kV transformer and control houses including matting and access

Installed 1,000 linear feet of rigid tubular 5 inch and 3 feet bus

Set and installed 2 - 115 kV rated circuit breakers and 13.8 kV circuit breakers

Lean, Innovative, and Unique Project Solutions

The project was constructed during the harsh winter months which complicated concrete placements. The team built tents around the foundations to ensure adequate protection of the concrete and to maintain temperatures for proper curing. Additionally, with the quick thaw, the existing site material became challenging for access. The team utilized crane mats and stone pads to install equipment.
